about

The third full-length effort from Corresponding Handpieces proved to be yet another change of direction for the band. Darker than PET ME but still brighter than IN OUR GLOWING BASEMENT, this disc featured the band at their most stripped-down: dry instrumentation, a prominent use of piano, and easily the most straight-forward set of songs the duo had yet composed. With a song featuring guest vocalist Cami Woodruff and not a cover to be found (those were relegated to B-sides), it was "direct" C.Hand, and a sign of what was to come for the band.
