Following the release of the mid-tempo rocker "Run Along" as a single, the Handpieces' gleefully follow that up with their punked-out sea-shanty "Lovers on a Lifeboat". When working on the new album -- PET ME, due April 8th via (n)erotic -- the guys determined that one of the things they do remarkably well is crafting instantaneous rock songs, and the entire first third of PET ME is nothing but that. "Lovers on a Lifeboat" liberally quotes from Pink Floyd, adds in tinny drum machines and throws a monstrous bassline over the whole affair. Needless to say, it brings the rock.

Added is a rejected song from the sessions, "Lamentable Crossover Attempt". It will only be available on this single, so feel lucky :-)
